The first of the decorating...our master bathroom.

I looked & looked for a bathroom set that would match the towels we got from the wedding & finally found one, so here it is. It's a little different now, but this was after we were here for like a week & first got it decorated. We still have everything else to decorate, but at least we've got the bathroom mainly done, haha. Yes I know it's girly, but Mark doesn't care. The spare bathroom will be blue & full of dolphins probably.

Isn't it pretty?? Haha

We Made It!!!! Sunday, Aug. 1st!

Today we got up & made the last of the 90 miles to our new home! We're finally gonna be there & couldn't wait to just relax...hahah...relax?? We've got a 22 ft box truck & 2 vehicles to unload by ourselves, no relaxing for us! Here are some pics along the way. We finally got into seeing some cacti here...we're almost there.

It was kinda rainy & foggy as you can see here.

We arrived around 12 or so, after the office opened, so we could get our keys & get into here. This shows the living room area & door.

This place is so much bigger than the last one we were in and we need the space. We're not going to use a storage shed here like we were in PA, so it's a good thing there's quite a bit of storage room here. Now for the unloading of the truck, unpacking & settling in!

Day 4: Saturday, July 31st

There's not a whole lot to say about today's travels, but lots of beautiful scenery to look at, so I'll just let the pics talk for themselves.

Ok, so here comes almost the best part of the trip!! I was so ecstatic to get here...I almost jumped up & down!

Here I am closing in on the homestretch! Can you see how tired I am?!?

We knew we weren't going to make it to the apt. complex in time before they closed the office, so we decided to drive into AZ until we got tired & could find a place to stay. We planned on staying in Flagstaff, which is only about 2 hrs from Surprise, but the majority of the rooms were booked, so we drove about 45 mins further south to Camp Verde, AZ. So after another 512 miles of the trip, we crashed in the hotel to get some rest before we finished the last 90 miles!

Day 3, Part 2

I thought I'd break it up a lil bit, so the post wasn't so long. Here we made it to New Mexico:

There were lots of pretty areas in New Mexico too, but also a lot of it was just open land where you could see for miles! It was pretty awesome though because you could see that it was raining miles away from you like in the one pic here.

We drove 542 miles to Santa Rosa, NM today & decided to call it a night. I'll spare all the details, but we'll never stay there again! Realy bad service at the kinda ghetto restaurant, horrible place w/big crater-like areas in the parking for trucks & just really didn't feel too good about the place. Then we woke up the next morning to find that someone syphoned gas from the rental truck, even though there were multiple other trucks over there near it. :( We weren't pleased at all w/that place & couldn't wait to get out of there!
